The Intro. To my Life

Hello my fellow bloggers,

My name is Kristina Quintini. I am 21 years old and was born and raised in Bay St. Louis, Mississippi. I’m mixed with African American and Caucasian so I feel I get the best of both worlds. I recently transfer to the University of Southern Mississippi in the fall of 2008 after receiving an associate degree in business. I am currently classified as a senior. Dancing is my passion. I have danced for nine years and am currently a member of the Dixie Darlings. Being a dancer for the football team, I grew a strong interest in sports. I am majoring in sports and business administration with a minor in marketing. With my degree I plan to someday be a publicist for the NFL.

Throughout my life I have used writing in everyday situations. This technique has been a requirement at my job, school, and contacting friends on a daily bases. Writing is portable and permanent. It makes your thinking visible. For example, writing a letter has helped me when I felt I couldn’t find the right way to tell someone how I felt verbally. Finding a way to express myself without having to physically say anything made it a lot less stressful for me to get through to someone. I have had to write many documents that have been somewhat difficult, but have helped me accomplish everyday tasks. Writing essays, making a resume, writing up legal contracts, and making speeches have all been things that have taken a lot of persistence to accomplish what is required. Writing is not necessarily something I enjoy doing, but it is essential while living in our continuously growing society.
